    This person (not me or anyone I know) is selling 11 or so 417's, & he does not know what they are. They look good
    Might be a good deal or two.

    Thanks for the heads up. One of my amps is a Magnatone 44O with an Oxford 12" in it. I could see having one of these in a separate cab.

    Any thoughts on what would be best for a cab for it? Could I get a way with a simple open back job not unlike what the Maggie has?

    I finally mounted 2 or my 417 GPA Re cones in an Avatar cab.
    Thru my Marshall 2554, they just plain Rock!
    GPA did a great job.

    417 Alnico-

    Thanks so much for the heads up. Through a friend, I was the low bidder on two. I will have the builder of my pedal steel amp make me a pair of boxes that will match the pair that house 15" BW's that I use for pedal steel. I'll use these for guitar, or maybe all four when I want to establish some ground rules. One can do a lot with 300 w/ch. :-)
